THURSDAY 8/28 NIGHTTIME UPDATE

If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Our tech team has been working on even more tweaks based on your feedback, and have optimized the site for Safari and the default Android browser. They're continuing to work on the same for both Chrome and Opera as well. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site tonight:

-In a new roundtable this afternoon, the crew addressed what they want to see next for Michael Bisping after his win over Cung Le. Excerpt from Rich Hansen: “What I want to see is for him to not con Dana White and Joe Silva into an undeserved fight with Luke Rockhold, that's what I want to see. I get that he's a company guy (flack), and that he understands how the system works (bend over, grab knees), but he needs to be fighting in either high-profile fights that mean nothing to the rankings (Nick Diaz?), or working his way up as if his mouth isn't a bigger moneymaker than his fists (Thale Leites). He should fight Thales Leites in what would be a hell of a good fight, The winner of that fight would have a claim at a fight against a top-five guy.” Head to our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser for the full roundtable.

-Featherweight Max Holloway is making a quick turnaround after his UFC Fight Night 49 win, as he'll step in for the injured “Korean Zombie” against Akira Corassani at UFC Fight Night 53 in Stockholm. More on the switch on the mobile site.

-UFC 180 in Mexico City this November sold out in just eight hours this week, with 21,000 ready to fill the Mexico City Arena on Nov. 15. Further thoughts on the sell out and the event on the mobile site.

-Bellator announced this week that they've signed Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal to a lengthy extension which will keep him in the organization “for years to come.” Catch comments from Lawal and further thoughts on the extension on the mobile site now.

-Dana White shot down the idea that fighters need to be better trash talkers in order to get spots higher up the ladder in the organization, saying they don't need to talk more if it's not natural, they just have to be great fighters. See his thoughts with further analysis on the mobile site.

-If you want to take part in the MMATorch prediction and betting contests for UFC 177, head to the mobile site for instructions on how to participate in the game from new game-runner Tom Strong.

We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
