11/1 UPDATE
If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Our tech team has been working on even more tweaks based on your feedback, and have optimized the site for Safari and the default Android browser. They're continuing to work on the same for both Chrome and Opera as well. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site today:
-Rich Hansen was live in Iowa tonight for Invicta FC 9, which aired live on UFC Fight Pass. Head to our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser for his running thoughts on the night's card.
-Desmond Green knocked out Miguel Torres at Titan FC 31 last night, ending the night violently in what wound up being the main event due to Mike Ricci missing weight and Yoshiyuki Yoshida refusing to fight him. Get the full results of the event with more on the main event fight on the mobile site now.
-Chris Weidman continued to express his disbelief that the Nevada commission has yet to administer a drug test to Vitor Belfort, but added that it doesn't matter if Belfort's on “everything under the sun,” as he plans to still be Champion come March 1. Catch his latest critical comments on the mobile site.
-Eddie Alvarez opened up this week about his loss to Donald Cerrone after taking some time out of the spotlight the past month. He credited Cerrone for executing where he failed, but felt he never managed to get comfortable in the fight. See Alvarez's comments with further analysis on the mobile site now.
-Tom DeBlass appears to be out of his fight with “King Mo” Lawal at Bellator 131 due to a nasty cut suffered in training. See the damage for yourself on the mobile site.
We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
