12/23 NIGHTTIME UPDATE
If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site today:
-Dominick Cruz refuses to be down about his latest injury setback, and insists he is not only going to return, but he's going to do so as a stronger fighter. He says it's not an “if” but a “when” as far as his return is concerned, and he thinks this one's going to be fairly quick and easy as compared to the last layoff. Head to our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser for Cruz's comments with further analysis.
-CM Punk isn't all that concerned with critics of his move to the UFC despite any real fighting experience. It's something he wants to do, and he says even if he fails, at least he gave it a shot, as not trying at all would be the real failure. Catch his comments with further thoughts on where criticism of the move should be directed at the mobile site.
-Dennis Hallman and Javier Vasquez are the latest to be named in a class action lawsuit against the UFC, this time in a separate filing in California from the same set of attorneys, with almost identical language to the first. More information with further thoughts on the mobile site now.
-There's been a change to next month's UFC Fight Night 59 event in Boston, as an injury to Frank Trevino has brought in newcomer Frankie Perez to face Johnny Case. Get more on the fight change on the mobile site.
We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
