THURSDAY 5/15 MORNING UPDATE

If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Our tech team has been working on even more tweaks based on your feedback, and have optimized the site for Safari and the default Android browser. They're continuing to work on the same for both Chrome and Opera as well. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site this morning:

-Rampage Jackson fights on Saturday night in the new main event for Bellator's first pay-per-view offering, and he thinks his fight with “King Mo” Lawal is worth the pay-per-view price itself. I think it would have been two or three years ago certainly, but no one's paid for a Rampage fight on pay-per-view in over two years, and Lawal's lost a lot of luster in his time with Bellator. See Rampage's quote with more analysis in the main listing in your phone or tablet browser.

-Vitor Belfort says he's going to be contacting the various state athletic commissions to work on getting licensed so he can fight wherever the UFC runs, and he doesn't seem concerned about the process. His wife/manager is also trying to shut down any further comment or conversation about his randomly administered drug test in February, but that will have to come into play when he applies for a license in Nevada. There's a lot more yet to come on this front, but get Belfort's comments with further analysis in the main listing now.

-Anthony Pettis has heard Jose Aldo's comments time and again that he's ducking the Featherweight Champ, and he warns him that everyone who has said that about him has eventually gotten finished in the first round. That's a matchup which simply has to happen sometime in the future. Catch Pettis' quote, with some thoughts on when it could finally go down, in the main listing.

-In our morning poll, instead of a full prediction on Saturday's Interim Bellator Lightweight Title fight between Michael Chandler and Will Brooks, we asked readers whether they actually thought Brooks could pull it off. Only 6% think he can, while 47% see it as highly unlikely, and the remaining 47% see no way Chandler loses. Get your own vote in now!

We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
