TUESDAY 7/15 NIGHTTIME UPDATE

If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Our tech team has been working on even more tweaks based on your feedback, and have optimized the site for Safari and the default Android browser. They're continuing to work on the same for both Chrome and Opera as well. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site today:

-There's a new co-main event for UFC 177 in Sacramento, as the UFC has booked Demetrious Johnson's next Flyweight Title fight against Chris Cariaso. More on both fighters into that matchup in the main listing of our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser.

-My preview for UFC Fight Night 45's main card is now live. It's a quick thoughts breakdown on the main card, a little more in depth with the top fights of the night, with my predictions for each main card bout. I'm taking Cerrone, Barboza, Story, Proctor, Lineker, and Martins on the main card. Further thoughts and reasoning behind those picks available in the full preview in the main listing now.

-In a new roundtable this afternoon, the crew looked at the fights they found most intriguing on the UFC Fight Night 45 card. Excerpt from Dan Moore: “John Lineker is another Brazilian who usually always entertains the fans with his explosive finishing prowess. Alptekin Ozkiliç is a talent, but he's yet to display his full potential in the UFC; this is another fight where he will come up short against Lineker, unless he manages to negate the threat of the Brazilian with constant takedowns.” Full roundtable in the main listing.

-Speaking of Lineker, the embattled flyweight made weight successfully on his first attempt. See his comments about that prior to the weigh-ins, along with full weigh-in results for the event, in the main listing.

-Benson Henderson discussed why he prefers fighting on free TV as opposed to pay-per-view, and why the sport of MMA has a broad appeal, in a new interview this week. Catch his comments with further analysis in the main listing.

-Alistair Overeem this week talked about building chemistry with the team at Jackson-Winkeljohn in Albuquerque, and why things have worked thus far where they weren't with the Blackzilians in South Florida. See his quotes with further thoughts in the main listing.

We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
