FRIDAY 6/13 MORNING UPDATE
If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Our tech team has been working on even more tweaks based on your feedback, and have optimized the site for Safari and the default Android browser. They're continuing to work on the same for both Chrome and Opera as well. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site this morning:
-Dana White disputed the reported number for Bellator 120, saying it didn't do 100,000 buys. He claims to know what it actually did, and that it wasn't that high. He also says the UFC going head to head with them in the same state on Sept. 5 is coincidental, and that he doesn't care at all about Bellator and what they're doing. See his comments with further analysis in the main listing at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser.
-UFC Bantamweight Champion T.J. Dillashaw talked this week about both Renan Barao and Raphael Assuncao as potential challengers. With Barao's winning streak into their fight, Dillashaw thinks he would be a fine choice for his next fight despite how one sided the win was, and he thinks he beat Assuncao in their first fight so he wants that rematch as well. Catch his comments with further thoughts in the main listing.
-A new episode of “UFC 174 Embedded” is up, with a look at EA UFC, and several guys at the open workouts. Check it out in the main listing.
-Our morning poll today asked for predictions on the Rory MacDonald vs. Tyron Woodley fight at UFC 174. Woodley via TKO is the top response right now, with 46% of the vote. MacDonald by decision is next at 28%, and both are sensible predictions. It might wind up being one or the other, though a Woodley decision is up there as well. Get your votes in now.
We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
